My Artwork comes from a dark place… a place I choose to fight with the power of a pencil.

We all face our demons in different ways, I like to face mine head on. Which is why I choose to recreate the “bad-guy”, when I stare into the face of the Villains I not only see evil, I see pain and suffering. I see a way to release some of mine.

The last time I drew any sort of art was in secondary school between 1994 & 1999, art was really different back then. Pencil, Sketchbook and an Eraser. After I aced my GCSE I never touched art again as I was told I would not be able to pursue a career in this field. My parents immigrated to the UK and I was born in London, when diversity was scarce and opportunities were minimal. I was told to chase a career that would be successfully wealthy in return and deemed to be proud of by our community. So I put the pencil down… for years.

Many trials and tribulations later, 23 years worth to be exact, I missed the feeling of creating artwork. The peace I found, the mindset to create, expression… To speak through the strokes of a pencil. But after so many years I found that art has changed, even the methods to create had become digital. I had to get involved so I managed to attain a Gaomon PD156 Pro E-Tablet, which happened to be one of the greatest decisions I ever made.
